Mediapolis Sweeps Past West Burlington

Emily Kester, Monica Holsteen, Amber Scott, and Aurey Kramer combined to go 63–of–63 serving, with eight aces, to lead the Mediapolis High School volleyball team to a 25–14, 25–7, 25–3 Class 2A district semifinal win over West Burlington Thursday in Mediapolis.

Teammate Bethany Weber spiked 13 kills and came up with six blocks.

Johnna Gieselman paced the Lady Falcons with two kills and five digs.

Mediapolis (27–13) advances to a district final against Sigourney starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Mediapolis.

The Lady Falcons end their year at 8–19.
